FAQs
What is Brow Lamination?
Brow lamination involves the "laminating" or perming of eyebrows, encouraging them to grow in an upward, feather-like direction. It's an ideal solution for individuals dealing with brows that grow downward or have thin, sparse areas.
Essentially, this treatment reconstructs the bond of the hairs, providing fuller, fluffier brows that can last 6-8 weeks, eliminating the need for brow gel. An optional brow stain can be added for a more pronounced look.
Who Benefits from Brow Lamination?
Brow lamination is suitable for anyone seeking to enhance their brow appearance, including those with sparse or unruly brows, individuals growing out their brows, or those not ready for permanent makeup. However, there are contraindications, such as psoriasis/eczema, recent eye surgery, brow area alopecia, recent permanent makeup (must be healed), current sunburn, ultra-sensitive skin, blood thinners, pink eye, pregnancy/nursing (consult a physician first), and the use of Accutane (consult a physician first).
How Does Brow Lamination Work?
Brow lamination is a three-step process: styling the hair in the desired direction, laminating with gentle solutions, and treating the hair with a hydrating formula for optimal health.
Can I Get Brow Lamination if My Brows are Microbladed?
Microbladed brows can undergo lamination after the complete healing process (6-8 weeks). It won't affect the tattooed strokes but will elevate the appearance.
Will Brow Lamination Damage My Brow Hair?
Brow lamination doesn't cause long-term damage. High-quality, gentle products are used to ensure hair and skin safety.
Does Brow Lamination Hurt?
The procedure is entirely comfortable, causing no discomfort.
How Long Does Brow Lamination Take?
Brow lamination typically takes 45-60 minutes.
Do Different Skin Types React Differently to Brow Lamination?
Brow lamination is suitable for all skin types. Oilier skin may experience a slight decrease in the treatment's shelf life due to excess oil production.
How Long Will My Brow Lamination Last?
Brow lamination lasts up to 8 weeks with proper post-procedure care. Treatment every 8 weeks is recommended to maintain hair integrity.
